Volunteer storm and flood response unit based in Five Dock
The State Emergency Service's Canada Bay Unit is run by volunteers from a base on Regatta Road. Its crews help residents after storms and floods, for example by tarping damaged roofs or clearing fallen trees off houses. Call 132 500 for storm or flood help. The unit also welcomes locals who'd like to volunteer.
